Technical stuff (dear non-tech people, feel free to skip ☺): Since surely there are more people with similar taste and interests, I think it might be helpful to share the collection as a hypertexted list. Over the time there accumulated in the ‘kids’ subdirectory within the movies directory a decent amount of GBs of hand-picked videos: most will be interesting for grownups and children alike, some are specifically for children, and there no videos which I think inappropriate for children.

Every time I go to a house in which they have TV, I wonder why people keep it…īut even if TV is yuck, it doesn’t mean the basic format of moving pictures accompanied by sound is inherently wrong. It has all of the disadvantages a medium can have, with no special advantage: passivity and unidirectionality content which is mostly directed towards the lowest common denominator ads inability to choose what to watch or when, and to watch the same thing twice (without special technical accessories). In short: a list of videos I consider interesting, valuable and suitable for children most of them will definitely interest grownups as well, some are specifically for children, and none are inappropriate for children, IMHO.
